travelshopa is an online service which provides reviews, tips and advice on local shopping in different destinations. Our websitehttp://www.travelshopa.com (the “Site”), the brand “travelshopa” and the services offered under travelshopa is owned and operated by travelshopa Pte. Ltd. (“We”, “our”, or “us”). Should you require more information about travelshopa Pte. Ltd. or this Policy, you can contact us.
We understand that providing information online involves a great deal of trust on your part. We take this trust very seriously, and make it a priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us.
travelshopa collects information in the following ways:
We collect information that identifies you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your first name, surname, age, gender, telephone number, e-mail address, country of residence, user name and password. We may also request information about your travel and shopping plans, style, and preferences, including where you have been, where you plan/wish to go in the future, and the types of shops that attract your interest. You can choose not to provide information to us, but please be aware that some information about you is required in order for you to enjoy the benefits of being a registered travelshopa member. For example, only registered travelshopa members are able to post travel reviews, participate in discussion forums, access members-only newsletters, add to “my shopping trip” functionality, enter surveys, contests, and/or sweepstakes. In addition, some information is also required in order for you to ask us a question or initiate other transactions on the Site.
You will have the opportunity to provide contact information regarding other people through the Site. You should obtain the consent of such other individuals prior to providing travelshopa with their personal information, and therefore by providing their information to us, you are representing to travelshopa that you have obtained such consent from the said individuals.
We also may periodically obtain both personal and non-personal information about you from affiliated entities, business partners and other independent third-party sources and add it to our collected information about you. We collect information when you register to join travelshopa by logging into an account that you already have with certain third-party social networking sites (“SNS”) (including, but not limited to, Facebook) via our Service. For example, our Service allows you to create an account and login to the Service using your Facebook account credentials through Facebook Connect. If you are not currently registered as a User on the Service and you click on “Sign in Using Facebook,” you will first be asked to enter your Facebook credentials and then be given the option to register and join travelshopa.
We automatically collect some information about your computer when you visit travelshopa. For example, we will collect session data, including your IP address, Web browser software, and referring Web site. We may also collect information about your online activity, such as content viewed and pages visited. One of our goals in this automatic collection of information is to help us understand the interests of our Users and customise your User experience.
You can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, if you do not accept cookies from the Site, you may not be able to use all portions of the Service or all functionality of the Service.
Our Site may also use Web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags or Web bugs), which are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, which are placed in the code of a Web page. We use Web beacons to monitor the traffic patterns of Users from across pages within the Site, and from another website to the Site, or from the Site to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, so as to understand whether you have come to our Site from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party Web site, and to improve the Site performance. We also may allow our service providers to use Web beacons to help us understand which emails have been opened by recipients and to track the visitor traffic and actions on our Site. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our Site Content and other offerings.
We use your Personal Information (in some cases, in conjunction with your “Non-Identifying Information,” see below) to provide the Service to you. For example:
Account registration. We create your User account for your use of the Service based upon the Personal Information you provide.

If you invite a friend to join and connect with you on the Site, we may use and store your friends’ contact information long enough to process your requests.
Emailing via a travelshopa Account. As part of the Service, registered travelshopa members may communicate with other registered and non-registered Users through use of their travelshopa account. Where Users have selected the option of adding one or more email addresses to an online form, the message they create in the corresponding template will be sent from travelshopa to those email addresses on their behalf.
We also collect other information that you provide as part of registration, the operation, and personalisation of your account on travelshopa that cannot reasonably be used to identify or contact you (e.g., without limitation, age and individual preferences) (“Non-Identifying Information”). But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other Non-Identifying Information (for example, your viewing preferences) We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other travelshopa Users to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the Service and to analyse and understand how our Service is used. We may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for instance to deliver a product or service to you according to your preferences or restrictions.
Our Mobile Software allows Users to access and use the Service from their mobile devices. From the Mobile Software, you also have the option to identify the location of User Content that you wish to upload to our Service. In addition, in the event that our Mobile Software crashes on your mobile device, we will receive information about your mobile device model, software version and device carrier, which allows us to identify and fix bugs and otherwise improve the performance of our Mobile Software. This Log Data may include information such as the browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Service, pages of our Service that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Service, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyse use of the Service and the Service’s technical administration, to increase our Service’s functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor our Service to our visitors’ needs. For example, some of this information is collected so that when you visit the Service again, it will recognise you and the information could then be used to serve advertisements and other information appropriate to your interests. We also use this information to verify that visitors to the Service meet the criteria required to process their requests.

We may share aggregated information that does not include Personal Information and we may otherwise disclose Non-Identifying Information and Log Data to third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other purposes. We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of stored “personal data” (as defined by applicable laws on security breach notification) to you via email or conspicuous posting on this Service in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, insofar as consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.
